The calligraphic text in full is the Islamic phrase “Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim” which is used both in the Qur'an and in prayer, and means “In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful”. An excellent journal for notes on Qur'an study or reflections of a spiritual nature.
