Our Pyrographed Leather Amalfi Journal is decorated with a traditional technique based on the use of a hot metal instrument to burn patterns into leather. The result is bolder and deeper than embossment. The flexible wraparound leather cover will give many years of service and tactile pleasure.
The journal contains distinctive deckled-edged cotton-rag paper, handmade sheet by sheet at the Amatruda paper mill in Amalfi, which has been producing paper since the 14th century. This paper is then hand-stitched and bound in Piacenza, Italy.
